The Wildebeest Migration Safari

Your safari tour begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Our dedicated team will provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After a welcome meal, you'll receive a detailed safari briefing from your knowledgeable guide, ensuring you are fully prepared for your adventure.

After breakfast, your Tarangire safari begins with a game drive. Tarangire is famous for its vast herds of elephants and towering baobab trees. You'll then drive to your lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This region is home to an estimated 30,000 large mammals and is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world.

Following breakfast, you will take a scenic drive from Karatu to Lake Natron. This destination is a critical breeding ground for millions of lesser flamingos, creating a breathtaking pink and red spectacle. You will also get a clear view of the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai. After exploring, you will return to your lodge for the night.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you into Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop at Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind.” As you enter the Serengeti, you will witness the breathtaking scene of the wildebeest migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebra are on the move. Your evening ends at a camp with an optional night game drive.

Today is dedicated to an incredible Serengeti game drive. The central Serengeti is a sanctuary for the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and hyenas. Our expert guides will take you to the best locations to maximize your wildlife sightings and witness the dramatic predator-prey interactions.

After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, you'll drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera for a full day of game viewing. This is the best place in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino and prides of magnificent black-maned lions. You may also spot leopards, cheetahs, and vast herds of antelope.

Following breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This beautiful park is renowned for its unique tree-climbing lions. The park's diverse ecosystems also support large troops of baboons, hippos, and giraffes. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the huge flocks of flamingos that inhabit the lake. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Moshi for your overnight stay.
